The Santoni colours are the offspring of a unique savoir faire. They are special because they are obtained through a peculiar method. The Santoni artisans have in fact refined over time the velatura: a manual shoe coloring technique not dissimilar to the procedures that have made great the artists of the Renaissance and the Venetian landscape painters.
Master craftsmen employ original tint recipes to apply up to 15 different colours to the leather, in a process that may require many hours of labour. This slow, exacting activity guarantees that every pair of shoes will have a unique, irreproducible patina.

REFINED BEAUTY
Colour is the attribute that comes to the fore in the Santoni creations. It is dense, rich and pictorial colour. Volumetric and round, never flat, it comes in precious and unexpected hues.
