Olivier Zahm signs again the new Santoni campaign for the next Fall-Winter 2016/2017.
He portrays an unconventional and sophisticated couple: Caroline Vreeland,
talented model and singer, nephew of the legendary icon Diana Vreeland, and the novelist and
screenwriter Bret Easton Ellis. Both American, the protagonists embody the Californian style and
that artistic front characterizing the contemporary Los Angeles. Olivier Zahm
shot them as modern Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller in their intense relationship, in the stunning
Sheats Goldstein residence in Beverly Crest.

For the Santoni F/W 2016 campaign, I was inspired by the short-lived but intense love between
Marilyn Monroe – the ultimate star of Hollywood glamour – and the American playwright, essayist,
and prominent figure in twentieth-century American Theater. This iconic artistic couple incarnated
the true glamour of Hollywood in its heyday.

For Santoni, I decided to reactivate this beautiful romance with two emblematic talents of the Los
Angeles art scene. First the model, singer, and iconic beauty, Caroline Vreeland. And Bret Easton
Ellis – the famous American novelist, screenwriter, and short story writer.
This duo incarnates the glamour and style of modern Los Angeles. I shot in the Sheats Goldstein residence in Beverly Crest, designed and built between 1961 and 1963 by American architect John Lautner.
I tried to celebrate the ultimate Californian lifestyle for this F/W 2016 campaign. The collection has
a rich perfection and remarkable color, style and quality.
